Time for a Catch Up

So I’ve been a bit AWOL for a good couple of months now, and I felt like it was finally time to revisit my blog. I’m happy to be back! πŸ™‚

A lot has happened in the last few months, hence why it has taken me so long to get back blogging. Here’s a brief overview…

Last time you heard from me I was a PA living in London, going to auditions every here and there, writing theatre reviews, and tornΒ between the Northern life and the big city lights.

Well, a few months on, I am now living and working in Toronto, Canada! I am rehearsing as a Mainstage Performer for Disney Cruiseline, working my dream job, and in May will be setting off on a cruise ship around Europe and the Caribbean, all the while performing Disney shows. Life couldn’t really get any better!

So you can imagine I’ve been a bit busy to sit down and blog…

I am having a whale of a time in Toronto! I have met some amazing people and performers (I have American friends!!), I have experienced a lot of firsts such as my first Oscars Party, sushi, David’s Tea,Β pop tarts, Poutine, celebrated St Patrick’s Day, and don’t even get me started on white eggs! I have also got lost by myself in the Toronto Underground and I now know what purgatory will feel like…

I am living in an amazing area with bars and takeaway foodΒ to your heart’s content, theatres down the street,Β the CN Tower is on my doorstep, and Angela Lansbury has been living in my building (I managed to run into her in an ‘elevator’ and stink her out with the egg salad I was carrying). Ah memories!

Whilst I have hadΒ my moments of missing home, and spent a good few weeks jet lagged (I apologise to anyone I have judged in the past; it turns out jet lag is real…), I am so happy to be here andΒ I am going to enjoy this time as much as I can. I am so lucky to have this opportunity to travel the world whilst doing what I love, and I now know that while it is hard when you’re not working as an actor, once you are, it is so worth the wait!

So, hopefully I can get back into the blogging spirit now that I’ve broken the ice and finally posted a ‘return post’. Who knows, maybe I can even post a theatre review or two since there are shows going on down the road…

Anyway, it feelsΒ good to be back, and I’ll hopefully have some fun things to post about over the course of this year.

Happy 2015! πŸ™‚
